MatGuard Check is a community trust and verification platform for grappling academies. This policy explains what data we collect and why.
Data we collect
Account data (email, name), academy data submitted by owners (location, instructors, photos, schedule, training styles), background-check documents uploaded for instructor verification, and basic technical data (IP, device, browser) for security and analytics.
How we use data
To verify academies, display verified profiles publicly, allow students and visitors to confirm an academy's status, secure the platform, and improve the service.
What is public
Only certified academies are publicly visible (name, location, photos, instructors, public credentials). Background-check documents and pending registrations are private and visible only to the academy owner and MatGuard Check admins.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We rely on consent (account creation), contract performance (verification service), and legitimate interest (platform security and integrity).
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Contact us at office@swissbjjrefereeassociation.ch.
Data retention
Account and academy data is kept while your account is active. Background-check documents are kept only as long as needed for verification and renewal.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We use trusted infrastructure providers (database, storage, email) bound by data-processing agreements.

We use only essential cookies for authentication and language preference.
