Every academy and instructor verified by MatGuard Check commits to the following standards. Violations may result in suspension or revocation of verification.
Safety first
Maintain a safe training environment, with appropriate supervision, age-appropriate techniques, and clear injury protocols.
Respect
Treat every student, visitor, parent, and competitor with respect — regardless of belt, gender, age, ethnicity, or background.
Zero tolerance
Zero tolerance for harassment, abuse, discrimination, or any non-consensual physical conduct.
Transparency
Provide accurate information about academy lineage, instructor ranks, and credentials. Do not misrepresent affiliations or titles.
Child protection
Programs that include minors must follow local child-protection laws, with screened staff and clear visibility during classes.
Professionalism
Maintain professional conduct online and offline. Do not use the academy's profile to attack competitors or individuals.
Reporting
Make it easy for students, parents, and visitors to report concerns. Cooperate with MatGuard Check reviews when issues are raised.
